COMPOSITION:
Cefalothin 500mg
INDUCATION:
Cephalothin has higher activity against Gram positive than Gram negative organisms. Cephalothin is primarily indicated in conditions like bone and joint infection, genitourinary tract infections, respiratory tract infections, soft tissue and skin infections and others
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION :
The drug is administered intravenously slowly for 3-5 minutes, with continuous or intermittent intravenous infusion. Can be used intramuscularly but cause pain. Dissolve the powder with distilled water for injection, and shake well

Intravenous injection usually occurs when intravenous cephalothin with a dose higher than 6g/day, lasting more than 3 day
Intermittent infusion: this approach gives a very high serum concentration and is effective. The appropriate dose for 24 hours is 8-12g. Each infusion 2g, 4 times or 6 times/day. Dissole 2g of cephalothin in 100ml of 0.9% sodium chloride solution or 100ml of 5% glucose for injection. Infution of this volume is recommended for 30 to 50 minutes.
