FLEZINOX 50
INDICATIONS:
Primary hypercholesterolemia or mixed dyslipidemia: Flezinox 50 is indicated as an adjunct to diet in patients with elevated low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), total cholesterol, triglycerides and apolopoprotein B (ApoB); in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia or mixed dyslipidemia with elevated high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C).
Severe hypertriglyceridemia: Flezinox 50 is also indicated as an adjunct to diet in adults with severe hypertriglyceridemia. Improvement in glycemic control in diabetic patients with fasting microembolism usually does not require pharmacological intervention.
A suitable diet should be maintained.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Hypersensitivity to fenobrate, fenobric acid or any of the excipients.
Severe renal impairment including patients undergoing haemodialysis.
Active liver disease including primary biliary cirrhosis and unexplained persistent liver function abnormalities.
Previous gallbladder disease.
Breastfeeding women.
DOSAGE:
Take with meals to optimise absorption.
Patients should maintain a suitable diet before and during
fenobrate.
